Ek Jhooti Love Story (Review)
A Bilal Abbas Khan and Madiha Imam starrer web series, ‘EkJhooti Love Story’, a second Pakistani release on Zee5 after Churails. Mehreen Jabbar and Umera Ahmed have come together yet again after their frenzy hit drama ‘ZindagiGulzarHai’, but this time with a rather refreshing and riveting watch. The show has definitely made us gush over these two cute characters, Sohail and Salma who at first, wear a bellicose aura towards one another as they did not consider each other even remotely close to the ideal character they have set for their better half.
Both are fixated on two different persons from two completely different worlds, understanding that their real selves will never appeal to the two, Sohail and Salma make counterfeit profiles of them and inadvertently end up with one another.
The plot figures out how the two of them start using this space similarly as a break from their mere existence, but somehow their lives get indivisibly associated with their deluding IDs, and how conditions and predetermination truly bring these two absolutely fumbled individuals together.
Furthermore, this web series reveals insight into the unforgiving truth of taking the necessary steps to go on a bounty hunt for the right Rishta for the daughters as it’s seen that Salma’s mom is continually making efforts to find the ideal counterpart for her girls. This says a great deal about our society, that getting your kids hitched is viewed as their most important duty.
The drama fills in as a break from those madly exhausting saas-bahu conflicts. The story is mundane and depicts our ordinary way of life, it is rather slow at times but this is what makes us reach the end to know where the story unfurls and it won’t be wrong to say that Sohail and Salma’s chemistry made all of us adore this story even more.
