Pakistanis don’t get to experience a lot of proud moments, but Pakistan’s philanthropist, humanitarian and wife of late Abdul Sattar Edhi, Bilquis Edhi has been declared the ‘Person of the Decade’, along with human rights rapporteur of the UN Prof Yanghee Lee and the US ethicist Stephen Soldz – A spokesperson for Edhi Foundation told that as per the domino effect verdict, announced by the Impact Hallmarks, Bilquis Edhi was declared the most impactful person of the first two decades of the 21st century. We couldn’t be prouder of the people of our country. Both Abdul Sattar Edhi and Bilquis Edhi have done a lot for our country and there’s no doubt in it. We’ve got many celebrities, actors and models but none of them even think about the welfare of others but people like Bilquis Edhi revive our faith in humanity. These are the people who deserve our love and appreciation but we often obsess over celebrities who don’t care about social issues and just earn. I hope one day we recognize the value of people like Bilquis Edhi
