DC Comics Chairmen in Hot Waters for Being a Racist

The chairmen of the DC Comics ‘Geoff John’ is under fire for being racist as he refused to cast Bridgerton’s fame actor Rege Jean Page in his upcoming movie ‘Krypton’ because his skin colour is black, not to forget that  Rege’s acting and character stood out the most.

Although Johns has turned down claims that not casting Rege was not because he is Black, he says all these allegations are boisterous and fake.

Surprisingly there were many people who came out agreeing to these allegations and said they have witnessed the same behaviour from him and that he is abusive towards his cast members.

John’s rep turned down the charges said that: “Geoff never said Superman can’t have a Black predecessor or be Black—there have been assorted variants of Superman all through the funnies for quite a long time so he does and can be different.”

“However, the expectation for KRYPTON was that it would initially be perceived as a possible prequel to Man of Steel by the fans,” he continued, “and the lead was expected to invoke a young Henry Cavill.”

Moreover, Krypton author Nadria Tucker, who is a Black lady, took to Twitter on February 24 saying that Johns attempted to advise her “what is and is not a Black thing.”

She revealed to a reporter, “I said Black women, we tend to change our hair frequently. It’s not weird, it’s a Black thing… And he said, ‘No, it’s not.’ ”

The power source also affirmed that Johns forestalled show makers from making “one superhero character, Adam Strange, gay or bisexual.” which also reveals that he is not just racist but also against LGBT which is a big deal in the USA.
