Around the globe, ads are considered to be the medium of showcasing your creativity, your culture, and your ideas. Pakistani ads have their fair share of ups and downs in terms of content execution or making similar kinds of clichéd ads, in fact, for quite some time they were considered mediocre or absurd as they followed a pattern of idiocy.

What does a mattress have to do with finding your ultimate happiness after marriage? Or how is changing your soap every time you get ill gonna help?  if not this, you’ll probably see street mobs being performed for a fruit ad and don’t even get me started with an item number performed for a biscuit/milk pack ad. If we start ranting about each and everyone there is, it will take hours but the point is, when was the last time Pakistani ads were about a social issue, or any issue for that matter? Take time to recall and I bet you won’t be able to remember one. They are far from showing the product or its attributes instead a mini melodramatic skit or a dance party is displayed on our screens.

But we cannot deny the good ones the Pakistani advertisement industry has managed to make. Few ads’ stories which again has nothing to do with the product, has made us gush over the way they are shot with beautiful storylines that we can’t stop but adore for all the good things they stand for.  All in all, if the script delivers a good message we are ready to like them even if they are extraneous.
