Will Crypto Currency Be Legal In Pakistan?
We all have somehow heard about bitcoins and cryptocurrency but few of us are aware of what exactly they are. So basically it’s a currency but in a virtual form and it uses cryptography and is difficult to counterfeit because of this security feature. Many countries including Russia, Venezuela, Kenya, the U.S., South Africa, Nigeria, China, Colombia, and Vietnam use these types of currencies but unfortunately in 2018, the State Bank Of Pakistan released the statement that all virtual currencies are banned in Pakistan but recently Waqar Zaka, a television broadcaster who has been vigorously petitioning to lift the ban imposed by Pakistan’s central bank, said that the country’s crypto ban has been misreported by the media and the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has wrongly been arresting people for possessing bitcoin. Emphasizing that the arrests must bring to an end, Waqar Zaka explained that “Parliament has not passed any law to ban” bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies in Pakistan” to which the State Bank of Pakistan has supposedly clarified that cryptocurrency is not banned and the case is still in court. There are lots of people claiming it will be legal in Pakistan soon and we pray that too as Pakistan will be able to do trading all over the world.
