It’s time for Natasha Romanoff’s story,” says Scarlett Johansson in the new featurette for Marvel Studios ‘Black Widow’. In celebration of National Super Hero Day, the makers dropped a new clip, this time featuring the leading lady promising to give us a good look into her character’s origins from a former KGB assassin to an Agent of SHIELD and becoming an Avenger. “When it was time to assemble the Avengers, who did S.H.I.E.L.D. call?” states Johansson, before diving into the illustrious career of the character and says, “You’ve been waiting for this.” ‘Black Widow’ will be the first feature film on the famed character who made her first appearance in the MCU almost a decade ago in the Robert Downey Jr lead, ‘Iron Man’ franchise.

The upcoming action-packed spy thriller, which launches simultaneously in theatres and on OTT platforms, will see Natasha Romanoff trying hard to wipe away the red on her ledger when a dangerous conspiracy with ties to her past arises. Pursued by a force that will stop at nothing to bring her down, Natasha must deal with her history as a Russian spy and the broken relationships left in her wake long before she became an Avenger. Joining Johansson kick butt in the film are Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, David Harbour as Alexei/The Red Guardian, and Rachel Weisz as Melina Vostokoff. ‘Black Widow’ that is set between the events of ‘Captain America Civil War’ and ‘Avengers: Endgame’ will be the first film in Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The film is slated for a July 9 release and we are super excited!
