U.S Cinemas – Masks are no longer mandatory
According to the guidelines updated on Friday, masks are no longer needed for anyone who has been fully vaccinated with the coronavirus in three of the major movie theaters in the United States.
AMC Entertainment, Cinemark, and Regal Cinemas said on their website that unvaccinated film fans are fortified to continue wearing masks and other social distance measurement and cleaning protocols will continue to be implemented.
“According to CDC guidelines, fully vaccinated guests do not need a mask,” said AMC on its website, referring to the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. “If you haven’t been vaccinated enough, we recommend that you continue to wear masks throughout the theater unless you are actively enjoying food and drink.” Similar updates to the Mask, Regal, and It Guidelines have been made on the Cinemark website. He said that all three networks comply with state and local mask regulations that may differ from CDC guidelines.
The changes in the cinema will take place two weeks after the CDC declares that people who are fully vaccinated do not need to wear masks under any circumstances.
In the United States, theatrical releases skyrocketed after a long closure related to the pandemic and the lack of new film releases. Last week, movie studios and movie theaters launched a campaign to predict a summer full of highly successful films, such as the new film Fast and Furious and the superhero film Black Widow.
Hollywood studios are closely watching the proceeds from the two major films to be released this weekend. Cruella, the first part about the villain of 101 Doggy, and the thriller Quiet Place Part II.
