Conjuring 3 – Review | Worth the hype or not?
There are very few horror movies out there that never fail to surprise us and conjuring 1 and 2 are one of those amazing movies which kept us on the edge of our seats till the end. They recently released the third part of the conjuring series (Conjuring 3: The Devil Made Me Do It) which has famous Edd and Lorraine who are a demonologist couple and this time it is based on a real incident which became a landmark case in the history of the American judiciary. The story starts in 1981and this time, Edd and Lorraine are encountering David, a 12-year-old boy who is possessed by a demonic yet extremely powerful source that can do almost anything beyond our imagination. This demon is not an average demon and can take everything they have. A young man Arne challenges it to leave David and enter him but things took a nasty turn and now Edd and Lorraine have to save David and themselves from this unhallowed possession.
In this movie, Edd was amazing as always but Lorraine gave insight into her strength and vulnerability. The film has everything required for an outstanding horror movie and it won’t be a wrong statement that this is by far the most amazing conjuring movie by the conjuring universe. It’s not only scary and creepy but also has lots of twists and turns which will keep you hooked to your screen till the end. The Conjuring universe has mixed two genres that are horror and crime which makes this movie splendid and a treat to watch.
This movie is written by David Leslie Johnson who is also a writer of some incredible movies including Orphan and Saw. Direction is by Michael Chaves and he definitely brings the best on screen by building intense tension scene by scene. And the best thing about his direction is that this movie is not like your typical horror movie full of unexpected jump scares but it also has an amazing story and gives major chills. His last direction was the curse of la Llorona which also was exceptional.
The conjuring “The Devil Made Me Do It” hardly has any dull scenes and the movie is exceptionally fast-paced. We are not going to spoil the story for you but we gotta tell you that this movie takes the conjuring franchise to another level and deserves your time and energy. Do give this movie a try if you are a fan of the horror genre and crime mixed with it. And also, if you have not watched conjuring universe movies yet, what are you waiting for? Go ahead as you’re missing out on good stuff
