Cinemas to Reopen from 1st July in Pakistan
Pakistan relaxed coronavirus restrictions for fully vaccinated citizens. Vaccinated people can go to restaurants, cinemas, closed weddings, and gyms according to the new rules of the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC).
The NCOC, which manages a national response to the pandemic, eased containment somewhat as the rate of new infections and mortality declined. Pakistan recorded 735 new cases and 23 deaths in the past 24 hours on Tuesday. The country has registered fewer than 1,000 cases of coronavirus for four consecutive days.
The conference was chaired by NCOC Prime Minister Asad Umar and co-chaired by NCOC National Coordinator Lieutenant. General Hamooduz Zaman Khan has also announced a series of other decisions that will take place from 1st to 31st July, with a revision scheduled for the end of July.
Pakistan also plans to introduce some incentives to encourage people to be fully vaccinated, such as travel packages, flight discounts, train and bus tickets, shopping coupons, and restaurants. There are at least 15.5 million vaccinations in 220 million countries. About 410,009 people were stabbed in the last 24 hours.
Cinemas across Pakistan will reopen from July 1, the National Command and Operation decided in a meeting on Monday.
Only people who have been completely vaccinated against the novel coronavirus will be allowed inside movie theatres. “Cinemas are allowed to re-open with strict Covid protocols for vaccinated people till 1 am.”
