Nora’s Coca Cola – Bollywood is officially out of lyrics

Actor and dancer Nora Fatehi dropped her much-awaited song titled ‘Zalima Coca Cola’ from her upcoming film Bhuj: The Pride of India starring Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Dutt. The Twitter reviews are out and netizens have mixed reviews. While many are impressed with Shreya Ghoshal’s voice and Nora’s killer dance moves, many called the song ‘pathetic’, ‘terrible’ and called it out for ‘bad lyrics’. Many even started a hilarious meme fest. Well, this song has a whole history behind which connects it to Pakistan. Zalima Coca Cola Pilade was originally sung by Madam Noor Jehan. Later it was recreated by Umair Jaswal and Meesha Shafi in Coke Studio 2016.  People loved the song and enjoyed the catchy tones but now in 2021, Bollywood has released its own version of Coca-Cola Pilaade, and honestly, we are super disappointed. The lyrics are meaningless and people are actually done with seeing Nora dancing in the same type of dresses with hundreds of men in similar locations. Like what is new in this? We have seen the same stuff in Saaki Saaki, Dilbar, Kamariya, and maybe all of her songs.

While one user tweeted, “#ZaalimaCocaCola is yet another masterclass from maestro Shreya Ghoshal. She remains to be the first choice unanimously for all the composers when there is a classical touch is required even if it is an item song. Legend!” another user wrote, “#ZaalimaCocaCola is really disappointed song from Shreya Ghoshal. didn’t expect this type of song from her. but always support you, @shreyaghoshal mam.

Tanishk Bagchi, who is a composer of this song is known for making copied songs as almost all of his songs are inspired or copied from old Indian/Pakistani songs. Nora’s dance movies and Shreya’s melodious voice are two redeeming points of this song otherwise nothing could have saved this song which has such disastrous lyrics. Fans, however, are still a little disappointed as Shreya Goshal is renowned for singing meaningful songs but yes maybe that is the vigor of her voice that she made such poor lyrics sound good.
