You Can Bake The Best Red Velvet Cake With This Easy Recipe
Red velvet cake is everyone’s ultimate favorite cake and we are sure y’all also crave red velvet cake late at night or especially when it’s not available. Well, making red velvet cake at home might take a little time but it’s easier than you think it is. The ingredients are pretty simple and mostly available at home so it’s high time to say goodbye to expensive red velvet cakes.
Here’s the list of ingredients you’d need to make your own red velvet cake :

- 1 1/2 cups vegetable oil
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup buttermilk1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 oz. red food coloring
- Cream Cheese half cup
- Whipping cream 1/5 cup
- Powdered sugar 1 cup or as desired
Method :
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Coat 2, 8-inch round pans with nonstick spray. Cut parchment rounds to fit in the bottom of the pans. Place the parchment rounds in the pans and coat again with nonstick spray. Set aside.
- In the bowl, add the oil, eggs, buttermilk, vinegar, and vanilla. Mix with an electric beater on medium speed until combined. Add in the sugar and mix until incorporated. (Skip the electric beater if you don’t have it and mix it with a regular hand beater or even fork)
- Next, add the cocoa powder, salt, and baking soda, mixing on medium speed for 30 seconds, or until no lumps remain in the cocoa powder.
- Now stop the beater and add in the flour and red food coloring. Mix until smooth (Don’t beat the mixture now. just mix it with the help of a spatula) for1 a minute, scraping the sides of the bowl as necessary.
- Divide the batter equally into 2 prepared pans.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool in pan for 10 minutes and then turn the cakes out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
- Now for frosting, beat the whipping cream and sugar first until stiff peaks. (whipping cream should be chilled)
- Add Cream cheese in whipped cream and mix with a spatula ( you can increase and decrease the amount of sugar in frosting according to the taste of your whipped cream and cream cheese)
- Now take your first layer of cake and put a generous amount of frosting on it and cover it with another layer of cake. then apply remaining frosting on the top and sides of the cake and even out the frosting with the help of a spatula and tadaaa! you have this delicious, soft, and mouthwatering Red velvet cake!
