World Chocolate Day – Treat yourself with homemade delectable chocolate cake
7th July 2021 is the world’s chocolate day and is there anything that can go wrong with chocolate? We don’t think so. We are presenting this mouth-watering chocolate cake recipe which will satisfy all your chocolaty cravings. Make it at home and surprise your family.
Ingredients :
- Flour 1-1/2 cup
- Castor sugar 1-1/2 cup
- Eggs 4
- Cocoa powder 4 tbsp (heaped)
- Baking powder 1-1/2 tsp
- Vanilla essence 3-4 drops
- Salt a pinch
- Coffee 1-1/2 tbsp
- Butter 1/2 cup (melted)
- Oil 1cup
- For glaze icing:
- Butter (half cup)
- Cocoa powder 4-5 tbsp
- Sugar (half cup)
- Melted dairy milk chocolate ( 1 Cup )
- For Cake decoration:
- Kitkats (LOTS OF)
- MnMs (LOTS OF)
Directions :
- In a bowl put flour, cocoa powder, coffee, baking powder, and a pinch of salt mix well.
- Beat eggs with an electric beater.
- Add 2-3drops of vanilla essence, add oil slowly while beating.
- Add melted butter and sugar to beat well.
- Put half flour in it and fold into eggs mixture well, then add whole flour and fold again.
- Grease baking tray with butter pour mixture.
- Bake in preheated oven at 225C till 35-40 minutes.
- Take the cake out, let it cool and cut it into two pieces to make layers
- For Icing, Beat butter, cocoa powder, and sugar together until creamy
- Apply that icing on the first layer of cake, top it with another layer of cake, and then cover the whole cake with the icing
- Put the cake in freezer for 1 hour
- Now pour the melted dairy milk on the top of the cake
- Start putting kitkats on the sides of the cake instantly as they will stick due to melted chocolate
- Now add whole lots of MnMs on the top of the cake
- Tie a ribbon around kitkats
- Put the cake in the fridge for 2 hours
- Serve and Enjoy.
