Ayeza Khan is back with another drama serial “Lapata” starring Sarah Khan and Ali Rehman. She plays the role of “Geeti” who is a vigorous and blunt TikToker. She lives in her own world and considers herself a “Princess”.
She is quite chatty and her character continuously reminds us of Kareena Kapoor’s character “Geet” from Jab we met. Even the names of both the characters are similar so we don’t think it’s a coincidence.
Ayeza recently played another vital role in Ramzan’s special drama “Chupke Chupke” and her character “Meenu” was admired immensely by the public. But this time, Geeti’s character just doesn’t feel reasonable.

She is manipulative, toxic, and a blackmailer. She is full of herself and her talking style is exactly like Geet’s from Jab we met. It’s like the makers have put too many constructs in the development of this one character and this character turned out to be a mess. Fans are not sure whether to like her or not as we’ve seen only one episode yet and we have no idea what’ll happen in upcoming episodes. It seems like both Ayeza and makers are trying to make this character contemporary or something people might watch the drama for. Ayeza khan’s TikTok videos are getting viral on Instagram in real life too and people are reposting them. All this is a marketing strategy for this drama.

There is no doubt in the fact that Ayeza is one of the most versatile actors Pakistan has got but unfortunately too much strain is put into this character which isn’t making it look familiar. Since Kareena Kapoor has set a remarkably high scale after playing the character of Geet, we don’t think no one will ever be able to surpass it. However, we have positive expectations from Ali Rehman and Sarah Khan and we hope this drama doesn’t become a mess after few episodes.
