Home Chefs Becoming A Trend In Pakistan

Have you noticed a recent drift in home-based chefs? Because we certainly have. Although lockdown has been uplifted, restaurants are opened up but some people are still quite sceptical and paranoid of going out let alone enjoy a dine out because apparently dining outcomes with its many problems, few being lunching under the scorching heat and flies having your food before you. From what I remember, home chefs were never an option when considering a luncheon with friends, or for any guests for that matter. Everyone loved dining out at their favourite restaurants and cafes but lately with the ongoing pandemic things have taken quite a turn. The shutdown of all kinds of eateries was sad news for all food lovers, but the prevalent trend of online food ordering saved us all. Things went downhill when restaurants were completely closed in the initial months of lockdown even for online orders, it was when home chefs became our saviour.

People saw the need of the hour and started off their little food ventures, which happened to be a kickstart for their careers. Some even have converted their home kitchen services to a restaurant. The good part about them is that they are not restricted to desi food or junk food only but a mix of both.

With the present influence of social media, it was not an issue to promote such startups, with the right brand endorsements and advertisements people easily boosted up their way through the entire city.

Slowly and gradually, home chefs have taken over and it won’t be wrong to mention that at least some good things have come out of this pandemic.
