Bollywood and Nepotism
Whenever you hear the word nepotism, I’m sure it always reminds you of Bollywood and if not, you must be lying. Bollywood and Nepotism are like synonyms, they always go side by side.
Nepotism occurs when power and authority are used to give work, opportunities to your family members (siblings, children and even friends) which impacts the deserving ones a decent work or a great job. Nepotism in Bollywood is certifiably not another wonder. Yet, for quite a long time this matter was under the radar until Kangna Ranaut stepped her foot in the subject. In one of her interview at ’Koffee with Karan’ back in 2017, Kangna called Karan out for his business and called him ‘the flag bearer of nepotism’ it possibly turned into an interesting issue of discussion. Last year after Sushant Singh Rajput’s death the topic was raised again and many Indian celebrities faced backlash for their hypocrisy and fans started condemning and banning their movies, it was then that things took a serious turn.
Even after seven long months, whenever a trailer of a Bollywood actor belonging to a Kapoor clan or who’s a product of nepotism promotes their new project they are not treated pleasantly.
It is to be sure a harsh reality of Bollywood that the seeds of nepotism have now truly developed into enormous trees. Entertainers with unadulterated ability are sidelined and main roles are given to top picks and family members. Also, the most noticeably terrible part is, on the off chance that an outcast attempts to raise his/her voice, at that point possibly they are stifled or the actor gets treated with all negative and sick remarks.
