Creamy Makhni – Ultimate Comfort food
Be it your Sehri or Iftari, you can simply not go wrong with a classic Chicken Creamy Makhni. It’s delicious, creamy and extremely easy to make! Here’s the recipe, try it out and let us know!
Ingredients
- Chicken with bones – 700 gm
- Yoghurt – 300 gm
- Cream – 200 gm
- Butter – 3 tbsp
- Oil – 3 tbsp
- Salt – 1 tsp or as required
- Garam masala powder – 1 tsp
- Black pepper – 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
- Cumin powder = 1 tsp
- Red chilli powder – 1/4 tsp
- Onion – 1
- Garlic minced – 1 tbsp
- Green Chili – 6-8
- Fresh coriander as required
Directions
- Chop 1 onion, cut green chilli in strips, chop the coriander.
- heat a wok add oil and butter.
- now add chopped onion, stir for 5 minutes.
- add garlic and chicken, stir on high heat for 5-6 minutes it will give a good taste to your chicken and also get rid of the smell of meat.
- now add yoghurt, salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder,garam masala powder, cumin powder.mix well. now with the lid on, on very low heat cook it for 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes on high heat cook it until all juices evaporate. now add cream, green chilli, and black pepper. with the lid on medium-low heat cook it for 10 minutes. sprinkle with fresh coriander. serve hot with naan or chapati.
