Rakul Preet Singh says her recent movie celebrates unconditional love among families:

Given the uncertainties in the lives of people around the world in the coronavirus pandemic, actor Rakul Preet Singh believes that a terrible scenario has brought families together.

Her next film, Sardar Ka Grandson, which was released on Netflix on Tuesday, deserves to commemorate the unconditional love between relatives.

This film is the story of an America- returned grandson (Arjun Kapoor) who is doing his best to fulfil his old grandmother’s last wish (Nina Gupta).

In the film directed by Kaashvie Nair, Rakul is a strong and independent woman who plays Kapoor’s love interest Radha.

“The emotions in the film are very universal. It is not just about grandmothers and grandchildren. It is about people about the family, to a greater or lesser degree. It’s about making sense of your family.

“I don’t think we have understood or recognized the importance of families any more than last year, since the pandemic hit the world,” Shin told in an interview with Zoom.  Sardar Ka Grandson was designed for large screens but was launched in streamers due to the proliferation of COVID-19.

“As an actor, in an ideal situation, I think each of us wants the magic of the screen and its experience, but now we are showing it on platforms like Netflix,” she says. The 30-year-old actor said the team behind the film had the pleasure of presenting a story that would bring smiles to people’s faces.

“I am very happy that, through this platform, we can probably achieve our goals, bring smiles to people’s faces and let our families see, have a little laugh and share great memories. If some people can.” Our job is done, “she said. Sardar Ka Grandson was written by Nair and Anuja Chauhan and has a dialogue with Amitosh Nagpal. It was created by Emmay Entertainment, John Abraham Entertainment and the T-Series.

The film features Soni Razdan, Kumdo Mithra, Kanwargit Singh, Diver Sate and cameos from John Abraham and Aditi Rao Haidari.
